Love the pay to win. This is a stupid pay-to-win game. So if you're not paying, you're not going to win. I support the companies of the games I play. With in-game purchases. But that said, purchases are cosmetic and don't give someone with more money to spend an advantage over other players. They are cosmetics for characters and weapons. In this game if you have money to burn. You'll be able to level up quickly and intimidate lower level players. Which takes away the need for skill or strategy. Fun strategy game, I just rejected another alliance's attempt to attack my settlement. I've only been playing for 6 days but I like the game so far. SIX MONTHS later: Still fun, but the game takes a lot of time to stay competitive, and people who spend a lot of $$ on the game go up a lot faster. Some people are bullies, who don't follow the rules and like to upset other alliances (just because they're so much bigger). Still and I continued playing the game. Not only is it a fantastic game, but it also has many other features like live streaming video from the players themselves. Easy to get into, but also has great depth of play. It definitely got you stuck from the start. Although there are things paid for, you're not at a huge disadvantage if you're playing F2P, so far it seems pretty balanced. Great example of its genre. Most games in this genre just seem cheap and lacking or are overcrowded with pay-to-play benefits, and without paying it's nearly impossible to progress to the final game content. But not in this game. So far I haven't spent any money, I've only played for a very limited period of time and I'm already level 16 at headquarters. Progression can be achieved without the dreaded grinding that tells you to quit. The developers have released a quality game and I would recommend it to anyone.
