With that said I reached level 25 without paying. I spend money here and there on good packages. The key is honestly finding a good alliance and making friends. The higher you get, you need your own farms. I know it has 4 bases in total and enjoy it. I spend less than 10 a month and manage to stay in Eden. I may not be number 1, but the top 10 in the alliance. Great RPG game. It's less about fighting zombies and more about building a city, improving it, partnering with others to mobilize and fight neighboring enemies while zombies are around. You use zombies to level up, get resources and gain experience. The other players are your biggest concern. They can attack your city and steal your resources. Your biggest decision is how to protect and multiply your resources to help your city thrive. A fun and addictive everyday game aimed at friends and family. you need a lot of patience or you can spend a lot of money. I stopped playing for a few days for personal reasons. I have the best ring, they are more like family and friends. they weren't personal with me, but they understood my position, not just kicked me out.
