This is my favorite game app. I like the balance between defeating enemies, gaining items for crafting and upgrades, and the sense of accomplishment by gaining levels and whatnot. I love that you don't throw advertising videos in my face unless I ask. While there are options to purchase items, it's not absolutely necessary for a fun gaming experience. It moves slowly enough that you need patience and playing time. Over time, it's a very rewarding game. I've been playing for over 2 years. It takes a LOT of time to build a good team, but it makes the game interesting. There is a surprising amount of strategy involved in pvp fighting or alliance wars. I love the way the creators continue to contribute to the game (there was only 1 campaign map when I started and some special events). Also, you can spend money, but I haven't spent a penny and I have some great teams, so it's definitely not necessary to spend money to be competitive. Fun game. Look, I know it's frustrating sometimes and some of the 5 star heroes are WELL defeated, but I've been playing for about two and a half years, never paid a penny and I'm at level 58 with 9 5 star heroes, 7 of which are ascended to the talent grid. It took a lot of time and effort, but I'm enjoying the trip. Yes, what I will say is that the more heroes of a color you have, the less likely those shields will appear on the board, but you get used to it. Honest Review! I love this game BUT ... be prepared to spend TONS of money if you want to go even slower than crawling. The game is great, but to be able to enjoy the game, you need at least $5 a month VIP, but that won't get you too much pulling for 5* heroes. So 1.99 special here, $5 there, etc. Once again, GREAT GAME, I just wanted everyone to know what to expect if they downloaded it. Besides Extreme Pay2win, the best mobile game of all time.
